Scott-Clark Medical has developed a battery system to address many of the problems that customers might have with their mobile power supply. This system is called Flexible Mobile Cart Power Technology, or FMCPT. It incorporates multiple features that make powering mobile workstations easier and more pleasant to use, as well as improving productivity.

Longer Lasting Batteries

Scott-Clark Medical makes long-lasting, rechargeable batteries for a large number of applications. The batteries power medical and supply carts for hours at a time before needing to be plugged in and recharged or swapped out for fresh batteries.

Hot-Swap Technology

The Hot-Swap batteries make it even easier to keep your mobile carts powered continuously throughout the day. The batteries weigh about 8 lbs, and they have handles for easy use. Carts equipped with Hot-Swap batteries have two connections allowing one battery to be changed while the other continues to power the cart.

Outlet Charging

Carts can also operate while plugged into a wall outlet. Batteries charge when the cart is plugged in.

Simple Power Indicators

Mobile cart users noticed that they spent a lot of time watching the power indicators. They found it distracting and disruptive.

FMCPT systems have a single yellow light that comes on when the mobile carts reach 20% battery charge. The light blinks when there are only 20 minutes of power remaining. This system is less distracting while still providing enough information to keep carts powered and functional.

SOCI II Indicator

The State of Charge Indicator II, SOCI II, is an option that provides a bit more information on the battery charge at a glance. The diagnostic panel is well lit and provides basic information on the charge of each battery along with the overall running time remaining.
