Scott-Clark Warranty

STANDARD PRODUCT LIMITED WARRANTY
Scott-Clark, Inc. (“SC”) warrants that for a period of thirty six months (36) months from the date of shipment from SC, the Mobile Computing Cart frame will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Lithium-ion batteries are warranted for a minimum of three years from the date of shipment from SC. The battery controller system is warranted for a period of 24 months from the date of shipment with additional periods depending on size and application. All other aspects of the SC product originating with SC shall be warranted for a period of one year from the date of shipment from SC. Third-party electronic components, including computers, monitors, wireless transceivers and other items that are included or contained in the SC products are warranted by their respective manufacturers, only.

Customers’ Remedies:

During the Warranty Period SC will, directly or through an SC service center, and at its discretion, address each customer claim, as follows:

  • Repair the defective item upon return to SC freight prepaid or
  • Use commercially reasonable shipping efforts to ship a replacement part within five (5) working days at no charge to Customer. At its option, SC may require the customer to return the defective part utilizing the packing material in which the replacement part was shipped.
  • SC replacement parts used in service and repair will be new or equivalent to new. Replacement battery cells will be new.
  • Prior to returning any material to SC, a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number must be obtained from our Assistance Center at the number below. Scott-Clark will issue an RMA immediately upon determining the need for returns.

Limitations of Liability:

SC MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. If this product is defective during the warranty period, your exclusive remedy shall be repair or replacement of the SC product, or refund the purchase price, at SC’s sole discretion. This Warranty does not apply to physical abuse (including liquid or food spillage), misuse, damage caused by electrical power surge, or operation or use in ways not recommended or authorized by the SC Operator Guide.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, SC will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of this SC, whether direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential to such use (including, without limitation, personal injury, loss of business profits, loss of business operations, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss, regardless of the legal theory asserted). In any case, the manufacturer’s and suppliers’ maximum exposure shall be limited to the original purchase price. Some states and countries do not allow the limitation of such damages, so this provision may not apply to you.

To determine if the product has a problem and needs to be returned to the factory, call the SC Assistance Center 512-756-7300 in the US from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. U.S. Central time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays; or e-mail support@Scott-Clark.com. When calling the Assistance Center, be sure to have the following information available: Date Purchased, Part Number and Model, Serial Number and Problem.

BATTERY LIMITED WARRANTY

URB0012

Scott- Clark Medical (Scott -Clark) warrants to the customer its URB0012 battery used in medical cart service (“Product”) that such Product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for five (5) years (covered at 100% for the first three (3) years and coverage for years four(4) and five(5) are prorated at 1/60th per month).

The URB0012 battery will furnish eighty percent (80%) of the rated capacity for each discharge cycle within the specified range of operation for the earlier to occur of (1) 36 months from the date of shipment or (2) three thousand (3,000) cycles.  The LiFe battery discharge cycle is defined as starting at a fully-charged state through the fully discharged state and back to the fully-charged state.  Discharge cycle counts are calculated by the software within the battery. This warranty will only be valid if the URB0012 is used and charged with the URS0010 power system.

Scott- Clark will repair or replace, at Scott-Clark’s sole discretion, any Product which does not meet this warranty within the applicable period, provided the Product is delivered intact and prepaid to the location authorized by Scott-Clark.  This warranty does not extend to equipment utilized with Products or to any Product which Scott- Clark determines, in its sole discretion, is not intact, on which seals have been broken, or which has been subjected to misuse, neglect, accident or improper installation, including, but not limited to, moisture or liquid exposure, proximity or other exposure to heat, or misapplication.  The foregoing is in lieu of all other warranties expressed, implied or statutory.  Scott-Clark will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or expense of any kind or nature caused, directly or indirectly, as a result of having delivered a Product that does not perform as warranted, including, without limitation, any such loss, damage, injury or expense arising from any interruption or service or for any loss of business whatsoever or however caused, and any lost profits or any other indirect, special or consequential damages.  The sole remedy shall be the repair or replacement of the Product.

The user is responsible for proper packaging and contacting Scott-Clark for shipping arrangements for review under this warranty. Repaired or replaced Product will be shipped to the user at no charge; however, any expedited shipping charges are the responsibility of the user.

URS0010

Scott-Clark Medical (Scott-Clark) warrants to the customer its URS0010 Power system used in medical cart service (“Product”) that such Product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of two (2) years from date of shipment.

Scott –Clark will repair or replace, at Scott-Clark’s sole discretion, any Product which does not meet this performance warranty within the applicable period, provided the Product is delivered intact and prepaid to the location authorized by Scott-Clark.  This warranty does not extend to equipment utilized with Products or to any Product which Scott-Clark determines, in its sole discretion, is not intact, on which seals have been broken, or which has been subjected to misuse, neglect, accident or improper installation, including, but not limited to, moisture or liquid exposure, proximity or other exposure to heat, or misapplication.  All vents and fans must be regularly kept clean and free from blockage (including dust and lint) or the warranty may be void.  The foregoing is in lieu of all other warranties expressed, implied or statutory.  Scott-Clark will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or expense of any kind or nature caused, directly or indirectly, as a result of having delivered a Product that does not perform as warranted, including, without limitation, any such loss, damage, injury or expense arising from any interruption or service or for any loss of business whatsoever or however caused, and any lost profits or any other indirect, special or consequential damages.  The sole remedy shall be the repair or replacement of the Product.
